Graceling – a great read
Graceling turned out to be a great read. The story line was exciting and the love story between the female main character and her true love was interesting with twists and turns. The main character really grows during the course of the book. Great female heroine.
Hunger Games
Katie is reading Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Really great read! The sequel, Catching Fire, has just been released. This is a trilogy so we will all have the great joy of reading the third book. More post on this book and this series to come soon.
Graceling
I am currently reading Graceling by Kristin Cashore. It is published by Graphia Books.
The cover is one of the first things that attracted me to the book. It blends two colors of aged leather (a rich peacock blue and a reddish brown). It has an almost Asian feel with the brown flowers, which resemble my hometown Dogwoods and the gold “Samari” lettering. The silver blade reflects a girl’sblue eye which is foreshadowing…)
The book’s diplay at B&N quoted the LA Times as saying, “Graceling.. has a knee-weakening romance that easily rivals that of Twilight.” That hooked me and I bought the book. I will post further updates as I read along in the book.
